sadie's last week of school

hubby and i enrolled our baby girl into what we consider to be one of the best schools in the valley back in march, and it was one of the best decisions that we have made.  After having Sadie enrolled at a daycare while I was at ASU we realized that after her third birthday that she needed a lot more than what daycare could offer. Rancho Solano Private School is a wonder school.  the teachers are passionate about what they do, they love the children, and most importantly...all the children are happy to be there and excited to learn. which is what learning should be, fun and exciting!
today, was the "last day of school party" and Sadie and her friends had tons of fun.  i got to meet and chat with more of the parents, and i was a little disappointed that i didn't get to meet the parents a little sooner (since we enrolled the last two months of school) but there will be other networking opportunities in the fall and spring 2013.  i learned that a couple of the children in Sadie's class are LDS, and her teacher next fall is also LDS which doesn't matter (since all the teachers at Rancho Solano are amazing) it's just nice to find an educator who shares the same religious values.
anyway, this spring semester was great.  ~S~ learned tons, made new friends, and made the world a better place by shining her bright little light.

final stretch

yesterday was my last day of school for this lovely Spring semester, and i am 100% sarcastic when i say lovely.  One of my classes, "Materials and Civilization" the study of rocks, glass, metals, clay, the 10th century, 18th century, BLAH, BLAH, BLAH!  The topic was not of interest to me at all, and it was so hard getting through this class.  It was a survey class so I didn't know what it was about when i enrolled.   A lot of chemistry was covered (not my thing) so most of the material was over my head.  it was so hard!!!!  My guess is that i wasn't the only one struggling since the instructor was willing to offer extra credit work.  after a couple of extra credit assignments, a 15 page research paper, and the final, i'm happy to say it's over.  I have only one semester left to complete at ASU and then it's a rap.  After summer school, i am hoping to complete what's left of my classes this fall semester but i'm not 100% sure.  hubby thinks i should just get it over with but i know how stressful it can get around the house when i'm overwhelmed with balancing school, family, and just life in general.  Anyway, i think it's time for an all inclusive vacation in 2013 to celebrate my achievements, and the families support and sacrifice.
