Just One Week Left

The first weekend of December 2008,  AJ and I went to Dekalb, IL to meet Jackie.  Jackie is pregnant with a baby girl and she has selected us to adopt her baby.  Our visit was a great one! We meet Jackie and her mother at a restaurant close to her home.  We visited with each other over breakfast for about three hours.  From the moment we sat down, the connection was instant and there was nonstop conversation.  After breakfast we want to the hospital to get a tour of where the baby will be born, and later went to her house to meet her other children.

Our visit started at 9:00a.m. and ended at 8:00p.m, and we had a wonderful time getting to know Jackie and her family.  At first AJ and I didn't know what to expect, but our visit took it's natural course, and the experience was better than what we could have imagined.  The best way we can describe our experience is that it felt like we were visiting an old friend.  AJ and I both felt like, somehow, we knew Jackie in the pre-existence or maybe our hearts connected because of the beautiful gift we are about to receive.

Date Night "The Lion King"

We saw "The Lion King" last night at the ASU Gammage Theater.  It was a really good show. We loved the music, colorful costumes, and how the props literally came to life.  It was like taking a trip to Africa.  Here are some pictures we took.  I got some of the pictures off the Lion King website since cameras were not allowed during the production but we had great seats, and the pictures exhibit exactly what we saw.  We loved it!  Thank you AJ for a good night.  I had fun as always.

AJ is so funny...I asked him to kiss me and this is what I got.  I promise we don't give open mouth kisses in public.
